Getting to our workshop from Oldham
From Oldham town centre, most drivers head west towards Manchester on the A62 Oldham Road or use the A663 Broadway to reach the M60, then come off for north Manchester. The A62 is direct but busy at peak times; the M60 can be quicker outside the rush hour.
Oldham's hillier roads towards Saddleworth and the Pennines, combined with plenty of short trips into town, give diesels a mix of heavy load and stop-start driving. That pattern is a common background to the DPF and EGR enquiries we receive from the area, and it is worth mentioning how you use the vehicle when you get in touch.
Services for Oldham drivers
Most enquiries from Oldham fall into two groups. The first is remapping — Stage 1 on standard vehicles, Stage 2 where hardware and condition allow, and gearbox (TCU) calibrations on supported automatics. The second is diesel faults: DPF warning lights, limp mode, EGR problems and AdBlue countdown warnings. In both cases we start with the vehicle's registration and condition, and we explain what we find before quoting.

If your vehicle is not safe to drive from Oldham
A vehicle in limp mode, with an AdBlue countdown close to zero, a flashing warning or a suspected coolant leak may not be sensible to drive across Greater Manchester. Call or WhatsApp us first with the symptoms. We can talk through whether a careful drive is reasonable or whether you should arrange transport. We do not collect vehicles ourselves, but we can tell you what to say to a recovery or transport provider so the vehicle arrives ready for diagnosis.
What to send us before booking remapping from Oldham
The quickest way to get useful advice is to send the registration and a short description by WhatsApp or through the quote form. Support and suitability vary by engine, gearbox, control unit and software version, so a registration lets us check the right information instead of guessing. Any estimate given remotely is provisional until the vehicle has been seen and the required checks are complete.
- 01Vehicle registration and approximate mileage
- 02Make, model and engine size, if known
- 03Any warning lights, messages, symptoms or fault codes

Visiting the workshop for customers from Oldham
All work is carried out at our single workshop at Unit 2, Lancaster Works, Kingsbridge Road, Manchester M9 5SP. We do not run a mobile remapping service and we have no other branches, so every customers from Oldham enquiry is booked into the same Manchester workshop. Visits are by arrangement: please call or WhatsApp before travelling so we can confirm the vehicle, the time and what the visit will involve.
Access is through the black gate. Call when you arrive so we can let you in, then keep left towards the rear of the site. We are open Monday to Friday 8am–6pm and Saturday 8am–1pm, and closed on Sunday. If the vehicle is in limp mode, showing a serious warning or will not start, tell us before setting off so we can talk about whether it is sensible to drive it or whether transport should be arranged.
