Getting to our workshop from Tameside

From Ashton-under-Lyne, the A6140 and M60 northbound are the usual routes, leaving for north Manchester. From Denton and Hyde, the M67 joins the M60, and the A57 and A635 provide alternatives towards the city.

Tameside sits at the edge of the Pennines, with routes towards the M67 and A57 that see plenty of commercial traffic. We regularly hear from Tameside van owners whose vehicles mix motorway work with hill climbs and short local trips.

Services for Tameside drivers

Most enquiries from Tameside fall into two groups. The first is remapping — Stage 1 on standard vehicles, Stage 2 where hardware and condition allow, and gearbox (TCU) calibrations on supported automatics. The second is diesel faults: DPF warning lights, limp mode, EGR problems and AdBlue countdown warnings. In both cases we start with the vehicle's registration and condition, and we explain what we find before quoting.

If your vehicle is not safe to drive from Tameside

A vehicle in limp mode, with an AdBlue countdown close to zero, a flashing warning or a suspected coolant leak may not be sensible to drive across Greater Manchester. Call or WhatsApp us first with the symptoms. We can talk through whether a careful drive is reasonable or whether you should arrange transport. We do not collect vehicles ourselves, but we can tell you what to say to a recovery or transport provider so the vehicle arrives ready for diagnosis.

What to send us before booking remapping from Tameside

The quickest way to get useful advice is to send the registration and a short description by WhatsApp or through the quote form. Support and suitability vary by engine, gearbox, control unit and software version, so a registration lets us check the right information instead of guessing. Any estimate given remotely is provisional until the vehicle has been seen and the required checks are complete.

  • 01Vehicle registration and approximate mileage
  • 02Make, model and engine size, if known
  • 03Any warning lights, messages, symptoms or fault codes
  • 04Existing remaps, tuning boxes or hardware modifications
  • 05How the vehicle is used — commuting, towing, short trips or heavy loads
  • 06Whether the vehicle is currently in limp mode or will not start
