Getting to our workshop from Stockport

From Stockport, the M60 clockwise around the east of Manchester is usually the most straightforward route north, leaving for north Manchester near the end of the journey. The A6 through Levenshulme and Longsight is an alternative but can be slow through the city.

Stockport drivers often split their time between M60 commuting and local short journeys, and many tow or carry loads towards the Peak District. Both patterns matter when we assess remap suitability and DPF health, so tell us how you use your vehicle.

Services for Stockport drivers

Most enquiries from Stockport fall into two groups. The first is remapping — Stage 1 on standard vehicles, Stage 2 where hardware and condition allow, and gearbox (TCU) calibrations on supported automatics. The second is diesel faults: DPF warning lights, limp mode, EGR problems and AdBlue countdown warnings. In both cases we start with the vehicle's registration and condition, and we explain what we find before quoting.

If your vehicle is not safe to drive from Stockport

A vehicle in limp mode, with an AdBlue countdown close to zero, a flashing warning or a suspected coolant leak may not be sensible to drive across Greater Manchester. Call or WhatsApp us first with the symptoms. We can talk through whether a careful drive is reasonable or whether you should arrange transport. We do not collect vehicles ourselves, but we can tell you what to say to a recovery or transport provider so the vehicle arrives ready for diagnosis.

What to send us before booking remapping from Stockport

The quickest way to get useful advice is to send the registration and a short description by WhatsApp or through the quote form. Support and suitability vary by engine, gearbox, control unit and software version, so a registration lets us check the right information instead of guessing. Any estimate given remotely is provisional until the vehicle has been seen and the required checks are complete.

  • 01Vehicle registration and approximate mileage
  • 02Make, model and engine size, if known
  • 03Any warning lights, messages, symptoms or fault codes
  • 04Existing remaps, tuning boxes or hardware modifications
  • 05How the vehicle is used — commuting, towing, short trips or heavy loads
  • 06Whether the vehicle is currently in limp mode or will not start
